Don Parker is alderman for the 4th Ward. He was appointed to this position on August 6, 2018 when it was vacated by Bob Smith. He was elected to the seat in 2019 and again in 2021.
Mr. Parker previously served in the Freeport Police Department from 1975 through 2005 as a patrol officer, detective, patrol lieutenant and police chief. He also served on the Stephenson County Board from 2006 through 2017 and on the Liquor Commission for the City of Freeport from 2017 until resigning in August 2018 to take the 4th Ward alderman position.
Mr. Parker currently works part-time for Walker Mortuary.
