Term ending in 2011

I am a Freeport native and have lived in Freeport for over 60 years. My wife, Jane, and I reside at 1016 Bertram Drive. Jane and I have two children Andrew J. and Anna-Marie J. Klemm. Both of our children were born, raised and educated in Freeport and have since moved to Washington D.C. and Chicago.

I am a U.S. Marine Corps Viet Nam veteran and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. I have been affiliated with many Freeport Community projects, from coaching youth sports to major fund raising campaigns. I graduated from the Highland Leadership Institute inaugural class in 1992 and served on the Freeport School Board for 8 years, (2 years as President).

I presently serve as President of Malcolm Eaton Enterprises Board and serve on the advisory board at St. Joseph's Provena Nursing Home. I look forward to serving the citizens of the 1st ward and the helping to move Freeport successfully in to the future.
